If you’ve got a sweet tooth like me, once dinner finishes I immediately want dessert. Even if I am stuffed. This smoothie is a perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth without feeling guilty at all!
For the chocolate part of this recipe I used raw cacao powder that I ground from cacao nibs using a coffee grinder. It has no added sugar and is super bitter so I added in a little coconut palm sugar to give this a little extra sweetness. Don’t expect a level of chocolate taste from this smoothie that is like a milkshake but there is definitely a subtle chocolate flavor in it. If you dont have cacao powder you can also use a cocoa powder like you would cook with.
Also I used fresh mint leaves because that’s what I had laying around but you could also use peppermint extract to get a much stronger mint flavor.
