This chocolate and almond bark is easy as can be. And dairy and gluten free too! 🙂 You can always make this with regular chocolate chips but I really recommend you try these Enjoy Life dairy and gluten-free chocolate chips. Just at least TRY it! Only three ingredients and I swear it tastes just like regular chocolate. We even have a HUGE chocolate lover in our house and she said she liked it so that means you know its good. 🙂
I added almonds and unsweetened coconut flakes to this bark but if you prefer another kind of nuts in sure they would work just as well. Just make sure you store this bark in the fridge because it gets soft pretty quickly.
Ready for the instructions??
Melt chocolate chips with the coconut oil. I just put them in the microwave for about 1.5 min, checking and stirring every 30 seconds.
Stir in any spices/mix-ins. We used chopped raw almonds, unsweetened coconut flakes, and cinnamon. Next time I might try adding some cayenne pepper to give it a little kick. 🙂
Spread on baking sheet and sprinkle the top with sea salt if you desire. Put sheet in freezer until chocolate fully hardens. I let it sit for about an hour. Break up into bite size pieces and enjoy!
