I had been avoiding making my own almond butter for a while…… UNTIL NOW! Why did I wait so long to finally attempt this when almond butter is one of my all time favorite snacks?? Well I’ll tell ya… I was a little terrified! I knew the concept was easy… basically just blending up almonds… but something that sounds that easy usually has some catch.
Well take it from me.. there really is no catch!! Don’t be like me and wait any longer to make this easy jar of deliciousness. Making almond butter is as easy as it sounds and SO worth it, both health-wise and money-wise. It blows my mind what they charge these days for a little jar of almond butter. And don’t even get me started on all the extra and unnecessary ingredients you will find in store bought almond butter. Go to the store and look at the jars on the shelves. I bet you 90% of the almond butters will have added sugar. Especially if you’re going to buy a flavored almond butter, I guarentee there will be loads of added sugar and chemicals.
Almond butter is my go to snack/breakfast/any meal of the day! Add it to a banana, apples, or throw a dollop on your oatmeal in the morning. The healthy fats will keep you full for hours! This cinnamon raisin almond butter is to DIE for. Put it on a piece of toast and you will be in heaven. 🙂 Or eat it by the spoon. *guilty* No judgement here.
